Official opening : September 1st

It’s been an exciting summer here at the istockcv office. First we want to thank all of our new users! You guys are awesome and we’re so thrilled to have you on board. We’ve had a ton of great feedback and questions and we want you all to know that we are listening and planning accordingly. We are working on bugs and new features just about 24/7.

Also, a big thank you at the geeks behind the scene :

  • Nicolas Jacobeus and Jean-Baptiste Escoyez, the ruby on rails developers at Belighted;
  • Florent Verschelde, the webmaster at Covert Prestige;
  • Benjamin De Cock, the designer at Deaxon

Well, as the title said, I’m stoked to announce the official launch on September 1st 2008.

Our public launch includes a new feature for academic associations/students associations. Indeed, we will offer a free access to a company account-like for any academic associations or student associations. Students (and small-sized schools) have been asking us to have an “online cv/contacts management tool” . So we are glad to offer them a free opportunity. There will be a 3rd tab (a pink one :) on the home page sooner.

Till September 1st, we will have a lot of work to do, like updating the content on public pages and stabilize some features (e.g. pdf exportation). Hold on and stay tuned ;)

If you have any feature requests or you discover any bugs please send us an email at feedback@istockcv.com

You can find more information about istockcv on our About Page.

Thanks,

David

(Nota bene : a big feature is coming out in Autumn)

iStockCV is ALIVE !

We are proud and happy to announce the launch of the public beta. We’ve been working as hell :) to make it happen.

WARNING

This is a public beta - meaning it works and we’re still working on it. The application is already fully functional and new features are scheduled for the next months, until the final release which will be deployed in September 2008. Till this date, we will be glad to receive lots of feedbacks from you guys!

  • What you like / don’t like.
  • What you would like to have.

Express yourself ;-)

Here are the main features you are going to implement in the next months.

For the candidate side:

  • your profile (a.k.a CV) in multiple languages;
  • a video CV;
  • export/print your CV;
  • use templates;
  • receive your statistics/notifications on Facebook;
  • a search engine to look for jobs (today we allow only to look for companies);
  • create groups.

For the company side:

  • allowing companies to publish videos/pictures;
  • multiple users under the same company account, so employees can have an access too;
  • a wall for companies;
  • a corporate blog (big piece!);
  • exporting/printing CV.

General

  • internal messaging system;
  • interface in different languages.

So what do you think?

What would be a priority according to you?
